Feline designers / behaviorists
Our design department is made up of qualified design professionals who are also feline behaviour consultants.
Whether the project involves the design of a shelter, an adoption room in a shelter, an adoption area in a pet store, a cat playroom in a veterinary clinic or even consultation room, our team will be able to offer you a layout that will be adapted to your situation and your needs while being adequate for cats.
Design projects for cats: veterinary clinics, foster houses, shelters, stores
Cat Educator has completed several design arrangements in private homes, veterinary clinics, shops and shelters, whether for an adoption space, a transition area, a small, medium or large room, thus notably enriching the environment of many cats and reducing their anxiety.

Design proposals in accordance with the specific needs of your premises
Our proposals are made according to your specific needs and the elements that the room must contain. We do not carry out construction or work, but you will have everything in hand (images, measurements and recommendations) to have the work carried out.
Call us at 514-645-2428 or write to us at design@educhateur.com if you’re interested in our service.
Our designer will contact you for details on your project and thus present you with a service offer based on your needs.
Note that a fee of $ 140 + taxes will be charged to receive the service offer and that this fee will be credited in full on the cost of the chosen service.
Preliminary consultation once the service offer has been accepted
- If we cannot go to your premises, a phone or Skype consultation will be required during which you will need to provide photos and videos of the room or space as well as some measurements, before the discussion. If it’s a Skype consultation, you must be able to move easily with the camera in order to show the environment.
- If the consultation is done on-site, our designer will go to your premises to talk with you, take the photos and measurements required.
- Our professionally trained designer will discuss the following with you:
- Your overall environment as well as rooms and their use;
- Photos and measurements to be taken if the premises are existing (if on-site, everything is done by us). If the premises are new and not constructed, the architect’s plans must be provided;
- Materials or items you already own that you want to build into your new layout (send photos of these items);
- The level of work you are willing to do;
- The needs and functions of the room and your expectations;
- Your approximate budget (just to give the designer an idea). Our designer does not estimate the cost of the work, since it may vary depending on the person who will do the work, the materials selected, the area of your residence, the market, etc. This information is only used to guide us to determine the magnitude of the project;
How will your project unfold
Design proposal
- Our designer offers you ideas, plans and images (depending on the option chosen). The proposal will be sent by email; no meeting is required for the presentation. Information about the ideas and reasons for each item will be clearly described to you by email. A telephone conversation may be needed so that our designer can explain the concept of the proposed layout to you;
- For the complete pacakage, the ideas are presented with 3D perspectives to allow you to visualize the layout, and this, from several angles of view;
- For the intermediate level, ideas are presented in 2D plan only (like architect’s plans);
- The designer’s source files are not provided;
- For the basic service, you will be provided with visual help for the size and spacing of the shelves;
- Following the approval of the proposal, our designer can then provide you with the dimensions of each element as well as their positioning, and will also suggest ideas for stores and materials to achieve the proposed results. The dimensions are indicated directly on the images of the proposal;
- Finally, you will have everything in hand to carry out your design project for your cats! The designer remains available to you if you have any questions. We always like to receive photos of your projects once completed, so don’t hesitate to email us afterwards!
- We also offer a project monitoring service during the construction by coordinating shop drawings (documents submitted by cabinetmakers, for example) to ensure that the details and measurements are well understood and respected by the person who will carry out the work. That way, we ensure that all the information has been correctly understood and transmitted, and coordinate adjustments if necessary. We can also make site visits, to ensure that the work is well executed and thus make corrections or recommendations if necessary.
