NEW – SELF-CONSULTATION on felinexpert.com :
The easiest, most effective and economical way ($39 to $49) to solve a problem on your own via interactive videos, the evaluation portion of which is free.
Our consultations are carried out by certified consultants and include a consultation report.
The behavioural problems for which adopters consult us are very varied:
No matter where you live, we can help you with an online or telephone consultation. Simply take photos or videos (which you can easily do with your smartphone), to help us assess the situation. As cats sometimes don’t produce the problem behaviors in our presence, we always recommend filming, even during an in-home consultation.
Depending on the problem, a visit or simply sending photos of certain rooms in the house may be necessary.
The next step is to set up an action plan. The steps will be explained to you in detail, along with the reasons why they should be adopted. In many cases, you’ll be given “homework” in the weeks that follow. The success of the procedure depends as much on you as on your cat!
A few days after the consultation, afull, detailed report will be e-mailed to you, summarizing the findings and recommendations discussed during the consultation. This report can also be sent to your veterinarian if required.
A follow-up e-mail is sent 2 weeks after the consultation. This follow-up ensures that the chat is responding to the solutions offered and that you are applying the techniques correctly. You can, of course, contact your practitioner at any time prior to this follow-up, to ask any questions you may have. Depending on the complexity of your situation and the additional advice you need, your practitioner may suggest a telephone follow-up (duration to be determined between you and your practitioner, additional costs to be anticipated if the consultation time has elapsed). If an extended consultation is recommended, your practitioner will discuss this with you and inform you of the associated costs.
During the consultation, feel free to ask questions. You’ll be able to discuss various aspects of feline life, even if they have nothing to do with the problem for which you’re consulting us. You’ll have access to a professional in feline behavior; take advantage of it! We’ll help youenrich your cat’s environment, improve its well-being, and more. Don’t hesitate to take advantage of our knowledge – we’re here to help!
If you have videos of problem behavior, such as attacks between cats, the operator will watch them with you.
There are two aspects that set Éduchateur apart. The first is that there isno professional order or government-recognized course in our field. As a result, anyone can claim to be an animal behaviorist, and it becomes very difficult for an owner to know who is competent. As in any other field, price and training are often good indicators of competence. But an even more important factor is the notoriety and reference of the veterinary field in relation to the practitioner. Éduchateur is recommended by over 500 veterinary clinics worldwide. Our competence is so well recognized that we are invited by veterinary professional associations, colleges and universities to train people in the field, even if we are not veterinarians ourselves (a rare occurrence).
The second aspect that sets Éduchateur apart is that it’s not just one person, but a team. Your Éduchateur has access to the knowledge of all the members of our large team, who have over 15 years of combined experience to help you better. The fact that it’s a team also gives you the option of requesting a change of Educator at any time if the connection isn’t going well, or if you’re not satisfied with the one assigned to you.
