The Feline Coaching service is a personalized advice service provided at home or remotely that consists of answering questions, fears or needs of the cat adopter as part of his relationship with his feline companion. This service is different from a consultation, the purpose of which is to diagnose a behavioural problem and to set up behavioural therapy to solve it.

Detailed description:
Are you getting ready to welcome your first cat? Want a harmonious relationship? We will discuss the different characters of the cat, which influences its behaviour, the essential role of the environment, your current way of life and everything you need to know before you go to adopt the ideal cat for you!
You will learn feline communication, basic needs through cat ethology and tips to avoid any behavioural problems. You can also prepare all your questions before the appointment visit so that we can reassure you.
Whether you already have one, two, or ten cats, we’ll discuss all the tips for getting a new cat into your home. You will learn the essential steps to follow and understand the importance of a gentle introduction to a life of harmonious cohabitation.
Lack of stimulation and boredom are the main causes of behavioural problems in cats, and it is necessary for the cat’s well-being to provide them with rewarding occupations. With these tips, you will be able to set up different methods of stimulation for your cat, whether you are home or not. This session is often done in association with the “Catification” session.
Training can be applied for better cooperation while caring for your cat (trimming its claws, cleaning its ears, brushing) or for the general stimulation of your cat by teaching him behaviours to reinforce. You will learn the benefits of this activity and develop an exceptional relationship with your cat!
The layout of your cat’s living space is an essential part of his well-being. We will look at the design of your home to set up heights (cat trees, Katt3), stimulation, scratching posts, or any element necessary for its happiness (food stimulation, toys, etc.). This session must be done on-site or online (but you need to be able to move with your camera), because we study the different living spaces of your cat, and adapt our advice according to your possibilities.
Waiting for your first child? Do you want to adopt a cat and have concerns about your children? The purpose of this session is to explain where your fears come from, dismantle them, and teach you to live in harmony with the whole family. All potential risks will be addressed, and all your questions can be sent before the session.
We know that this is always a dreaded moment for any cat adopter. And yet, with the right advice, it is possible to make this experience less unpleasant for him, but also for you and your vet! We will discuss the recommendations to be put in place before, during and after the visit to the vet.
Because sometimes we have to travel with our cat, we will give you all the advice to make this experience go as smoothly as possible, for you and your pet. This session must be planned long before your trip so that we have time to put in place different exercises to improve your cat’s well-being.
As the cat is an animal that greatly appreciates its environment, we know that it is sometimes difficult and stressful to have to move. Together, we’ll discuss all the steps you need to take to make this event work out for the best and help you understand what’s essential to reduce the stress on your cat.
All feline coaching sessions can be done at home, online or over the phone and last 1 hour. Travel costs will be added to the total amount of the session if you choose the home option.
You are free to select as many sessions as you like, either in one go or in several times. This option is to be seen directly with the consultant. Catification, however, requires a home visit.
